Do you offer make-up lessons?

Make-ups:

Guardian Swim School allows 1 free makeup lesson per month per class enrolled. Any additional makeups given will be $30.00.

Absence notifications must be received 4 hours prior to your scheduled class time to be eligible for a make-up class. Once you notify Guardian Swim School of an absence, that spot is no longer yours and may be offered to another student for that day.

Once a make-up class is scheduled, it cannot be rescheduled or made up if missed.

Make-up class eligibility expires 30 days after the missed class. Make-up classes expire on the drop date if withdrawing from lessons and cannot be carried over.

To maintain the integrity of our classes, we ask that you report an absence as soon as possible.

No notifications and no shows will not be eligible for a make-up class.

Missed Private or semi-private lessons will be made up in a group class.

Note: We will do our very best to get you scheduled for a make-up class as soon as possible; however, they are based on availability and are not guaranteed. Makeups cannot be transferred to pay for classes and hold no cash value.

Do you offer private or semi-private lessons?

Yes, Private Lessons are 30-minute 1 to 1 classes that focus on your swimmers’ individual needs. Semi Privates are also 30-Minute classes that are a 2-1 ratio.

Do you have Open Swim times?

Yes. It is an opportunity for children to gain swimming strength and endurance with family in the pool. There is no lifeguard or coach on duty for Open Swim time; so a child MUST be accompanied by a guardian. Parents are expected to actively supervise their children at all times.

Open Swim is available for all families. Member is $5.00 and Non-Members are $10.00. Children 4 and under must wear two reusable swim diapers!

Our Open swim times are Monday-Thursday 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM and Saturday 1:15-3:15PM

Do you offer any type of guarantee?

We guarantee every lesson every day. If for any reason you are unhappy with your lesson, please speak to a manager immediately.

What class level should I enroll my child in?
  • New Swimmers (never attended a Swim School) – Will be placed in our beginner classes that focus on the fundamentals of swimming.
  • Past Swimmers (attended a Swim School in the past) – Enroll in the last level that your student was working on. If your swimmer has been gone for more then a month, please schedule a swim evaluation to ensure your swimmer remembers their skills.
Can I request an instructor?

We do our best to accommodate teacher requests, however, these requests cannot be guaranteed.

What is the cancellation policy?

Withdraw Policy:

In order to cancel a child’s swim lessons, a completed withdrawal form must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the last lesson. Withdrawal forms can be found on our website and/or parent portal. Unfortunately, handwritten letters or typed emails will not be accepted as a form of cancellation. Cancellation of your enrollment will lead to a forfeiture of all make-up swim lessons not used prior to cancellation.

What is your class schedule?

We update classes to accommodate our students, so our schedule changes continually. Please check for class times and availability online. If you have trouble finding a class that fits your schedule, please call us. Our goal is offer swim lessons to everyone who wants to learn how to swim!

What if my child won′t get in the water?

We ask that you confidently walk your child to the instructor on the pool-deck and allow our highly trained and experienced coaches to create a relationship with your child.

What if my child cries?

Please be assured that a crying child in lessons is not uncommon around the swimming school. The crying is a natural expression of his or her emotional discomfort due to a new class experience in the water and / or separation from you. We will actively combat your child’s discomfort because his emotional comfort is necessary for him to acquire new skills. Our staff will establish trust with your child and find creative ways to ease him or her into this new experience.

What is your diaper policy?

All children under 4, regardless of level of potty training, must wear two reusable (cloth) snug fitting swim diapers.
